Am I Not?

Lost was I not when Thou found me

Exhausted in pursuit of vain glory

Thou opened my eyes and let me see

Thy path that leads me to eternity.

Hungry was I not when Thou fed me

Craved for all the things worldly

Proved the bread of life was Thee

With Thy word was I fed sumptuously.

Parched was I not when Thou quenched me

Drowned in pleasures that were guilty

To the springs of living water Thou led me

For Thy righteousness alone I’ll remain thirsty.

Selfish am I not if I don’t share Thee

Thy gifts of salvation and love which are free

With the hurting world around me

Adding souls to Thy fold remains my priority.

Joyous will I not be when face to face I see

In Thy Holy presence beyond the pearly sea

Casting my crown at Thy feet that are holy

Worshiping Thee eternally for Thou are worthy.

REMIND ME, LORD

Remind me, Lord, reason You gave eyes

Lest they look at world around in vain

Eager to walk on path that leads into vice

Focused on You, they must always remain.

Remind me, Lord, reason You gave knees

Lest these praying knees get lazy

Tossing about aimlessly on billowing seas

On bended knee alone is garnered victory.

Remind me, Lord, reason You gave heart

Lest it gets occupied by others

Breaking easily when things fall apart

With You inside, nothing on earth bothers.

Remind me, Lord, reason You gave feet

Lest they’re carried away with world’s flow

Never finding rest until I am beat

Walking with You, life seems a beautiful show.

Remind me, Lord, reason You gave lips

Lest they speak words of unkindness

Hurting others with vain gossips

Sing I must, songs of Your greatness.

Remind me, Lord, reason You gave life

Lest looking back at a wasted lifetime

Filled with moments of regret and strife

Worthy if spent in Your presence all the time.
